An exercise machine reversible resistance system for reversing the directional force of resistance against an exercise implement before, during, or after the performance of a routine of one or more exercises. The exercise machine reversible resistance system generally includes a frame, an elongated member movably positioned upon the frame, wherein the elongated member has a first run and a second run, a resistance device that applies a resistance force to the elongated member in a single direction, an exercise implement movably connected to the frame and a clutch connected to the exercise implement. Apparatus and Methods for Connecting Nodes to Panels in Transport Structures

Apparatus and methods for joining nodes, extrusions, and panels are presented herein. Nodes, extrusions, and panels can be joined together using adhesive joining techniques. The adhesive joining techniques can be applied to additively manufactured nodes or extrusions, and sandwich panels. Sandwich panels can be additively manufactured and/or commercial off the shelf (COTS) components. There can be more than one type of a joint formed by the joining techniques. Exemplary types of joints can use a liquid adhesive in conjunction with a vacuum and/or a film foam adhesive.

Systems and Methods for Adhesive Injection for Node Assembly

A joint design to provide an adhesive injection path to connect tubes for a space frame, where a space frame may be a vehicle chassis, is provided. The joint may connect carbon fiber tubes and may be designed with different shapes and configurations. The joint may include acceptor ports that may mate with a tube and simultaneously contact an inner surface and outer surface of the tube for a strong connection. The joint may also include centering features which may create a space between a surface of the tube and a surface of the joint through which adhesive may flow. Adhesive can be injected into a connection space between the joint and the tube through one or more integrated structural features in the joint that can provide a channel for directing adhesive to the connection space.

Transmission Controller for Electric Vehicle Automatic Transmission

The present invention generally relates to automatic transmission controllers and related methods. In one case, the present invention provides a method of calibrating a controller to match an automatic transmission to an electric motor or internal combustion engine. The controller is not integrated into the transmission. The method comprises adjusting parameters of the controller and includes the steps of: a) Defining the Control Architecture; b) using the Defined Control Architecture to Identify Control Loop Input/Output; c) using the Identified Control Input/Output to Define the Control Algorithm Controller; d) using the Control Algorithm Controller definition to either Define the Shift Schedule or Define the Solenoid Handler, either of which can be used in Optimizing Calibration Via Testing.

Open Bed Tailgate Extension

An extending tailgate arrangement is provided. The arrangement includes a tailgate and a linkage configured to extend the tailgate away from a rear end of a vehicle by a predetermined distance such that the tailgate contacts the linkage and does not contact the vehicle. The tailgate may be alternately opened in a conventional flip-down manner, and a sliding plate may be provided that covers the gap formed by the extending tailgate arrangement. The rim includes a downwardly depending portion that extends below the first set of threads. The container also includes a removable cover with a bottom, a generally cylindrical side wall, an annular flange extending outwardly from the generally cylindrical side wall and an annular collar. The collar, the annular flange and the side wall define a first channel that receives the rim, and the bottom and the generally cylindrical side wall cooperate to define a cover cavity. Method and System for Detecting Battery Type and Capacity and Automatically Adjusting Related Vehicle Parameters

An electric vehicle and a method for adjusting vehicle parameters based on a type of battery modules inserted into a vehicle. A processor is configured to: receive at least one input parameter from the battery modules housed in the vehicle; determine at least a type (e.g., lithium or lead acid) and capacity of the battery modules in the vehicle; and adjust output parameters to a battery management system and one or more vehicle subsystems based on the determined type and capacity of battery modules. Accordingly, battery packs can be swapped without updating electrical software in the vehicle. A customer can alternate from one type of battery pack module to another more easily and can obtain cost savings. The method can be implemented using CAN bus protocol.

A self-balancing electric vehicle may include a board having a frame, and a suspension system including at least one four-bar linkage coupling opposing end portions of a hub motor axle to the first end portion of the frame. The four-bar linkage(s) may have a first fixed link connected to the axle, a second fixed link comprising the frame, and two pivotable links joining the first fixed link to the second fixed link, such that the board is configured to be movable up and down relative to the axle. Embodiments of the support structure can include a floor with a number of structures and devices that can be used to provide support for the module and secure the module to the floor of the aircraft fuselage.
